What does it do?

The JBL GO 2 is a small speaker with a big, good quality sound, for its size.  It so small and lightweight you can take it wherever you go.  It wirelessly streams music via Bluetooth.  It’s waterproof so you can take it to the beach.  It can also be used as a noise-cancelling speakerphone.   It’s lovely to hold, looks stylish and comes in 12 colours. Keep in mind: This is a small speaker.  A small speaker will never sound as good as a larger speaker.  For a small speaker, the sound is great.  The battery life, 5 hours, is a little short.  Be sure to carry a micro USB cable for charging. I have the JBL GO – which I love.  This is the previous model.  I’ve travelled with it a lot.  I love listening to the ABC, hearing what is going on in Australia, while being in non English speaking countries.  I use it at home for phone calls, picnics, in the car so that I can listen to podcasts.   It’s very easy to connect to Android and Apple/iOS devices.

How it compares to the Wonderboom by UE

The Go by JBL can be used as a speaker phone, is half the price of the Wonderboom and is smaller and lighter.

The Wonderboom is waterproof and it can be paired with other Wonderboom speakers.  The Wonderboom produces better sound, as you would expect from a larger sized speaker.

  • Australia: AU$49
  • US:  US$40
